Ibland så dyker man på en video som är helt felvänd.
Men självklart finns det hjälp att få vi terminalen.
Detta har jag nyttjat vid ett flertal tillfällen med gott resultat.
Rotera Video:
mencoder -vf rotate=1 -ovc lavc -oac copy untitled.avi -o xxxxx.avi
Rotate:

0 Rotate by 90 degrees clockwise and flip (default).
1 Rotate by 90 degrees clockwise.
2 Rotate by 90 degrees counterclockwise.
3 Rotate by 90 degrees counterclockwise and flip.
