ClassicMenu Indicator is simple: Just install it, start it up, and you'll see a new Ubuntu icon pop up in your menu bar, near your other indicator icons. Click on it to get the classic dropdown menu. For most situations, using the Dash is faster for launching an app, but if you aren't sure what you're looking for (or if you want to look through Ubuntu's settings), the dropdown menu is a much easier, more familiar way to browse. Of course, if you want to get rid of Unity entirely, there are ways to do that too.
